Logme in. You get more for free, and (last time I paid, anyway), you got more for your money.

I've used Logmein and it worked well for me. Not tried the other one.

Depends how secure your network is and how your network connection is configured etc.

I used to use a VPN connection to the office and then connect to my PC using VNC Viewer. Easy to use but not necessarily the safest (depends how often you would use it) It is free to use though.

PC Anywhere is another "Software" product. All depends on what you want to do.

Ultra VNC is fantastic but again needs proper config both ends.

If you're going to be remote controlling a windows machine, then I was suggest using the built in Remote Desktop Client/Server... is by far the fastest, and has some nice bells and whistles, like being able to use the local printer to print documents on the remote computer and share files easily.

Needs one port open on the router, and you need to know the public address of the router to be able to connect in.

If you want more information, let me know.

Ben

Remote desktop is great but you ideally need a static IP or domain name for that and not everyone has one!!!

Yes its MSTSC for me every time too. Sure you need a static ip, and 2 minutes to set up your routers, but its built into windows, fast reliable, secure and means I can work remotely on a pc in my office, almost as quick as if it was right infront of me
