So heres a serious question ... what limits would you say .. thanks but no thanks .. force 4, 5 more ?

Obviously this may even sound like a stupid question as it is obviously also to do with Experience, Size of Boat etc, but an average person with an average 5m boat .. where would you say enough ? in terms of Wind Speed, Sea State .. etc ...

Good news is .. i may be boating this weekend.. bad news is .. I may not depending on what you guys say!

There isnt a limit within reason

If youve learned your craft, you'll know what you are capable of.

I used to see heavy weather and be doubtful, but after many years of seamanship, and particularly with ribs, i have a great deal more confidence.

That said I'm not daft, and I dont take risks with my crew or company, but in the company of fellow enthusiasts, and a good modern hull, you can enjoy some seriously fun cruising

I ask myself a simple question - if it is F6 or more - why do I need to go out? - if there is not a good answer then I stay in

So where would Easdale fall in the scheme of reasons to go out? I'm watching the forecast from now on and asking myself the same question!
