Maritime Museum of San Diego

A video clip of the Star of India at the Museum I volunteer at.
Interesting piece of history, seeing as she was built in GB.

Terrible connection speed BUT at least they let you download the file so you can watch it properly!!!

It's coming through at 7.6k - that's almost dialup so will leave it run for a while!!!

Enthusiasm

Impressed by the enthusiasm over here for her. They get over a hundred volunteers turnout every other week to do maint; and practice skills. Should be interesting in November, when for the Stars annual sail, they will have to provide crew and support for the Star,the Californian,the pilot and the Surprise!
Looking forward to covering that!
Now if we could only get the Russian sub seaworthy!!
There is a shorter clip on the Californian on that site that was shot from my RIB. Not quite as proffesional though,but stil interesting;
Glad you enjoyed it;
cheers Dal
