It was quite sunny on the Solent too and if you think the suntan he got on his hand was good, you should see the rest of him!

Unfortunately it didnt seem appropriate for us to take a picture of the wound at the time but rest assured it wasn't pleasant.
Matt, (now known down here as "Wolverine" from the X-men) will no doubt play it down but we were originally worried he might lose his finger...(Yes, sorry i didnt mention this to you at the time Matt )

I will upload some pics of it all shortly......

Simon

Yer can't tell with a habitual welder - they're all tanned!

Still, glad it's not real.

I'm surprised some people fell for that one! On a more serious note, many thanks again to Simon for keeping a cool head and doing all the right things. My arse was twitching a bit, I was worried about losing my finger too, I suppose I should be happy it's hurting like bitch right now...

Doing some mods to a steel link span between 2 barges. Had 1 corner lifted with a big pry bar, had my finger in the wrong place just as the pry bar slipped

300-400kgs landed on my finger making it "burst"!

It could have been worse. Have you seen 127 hours?

PS I think you forgot to put a washer under the bolt head
