Martini, shaken AND stirred....
OK, so Martini will probably never speak to me again but just couldnt resist uploading this clip taken this morning....
He was no doubt struggling to cope with only 180hp as opposed to having those twin 250 optimax's at his disposal.
In all fairness, it's not the easiest maneuver to pull off and (with the help of a very big crowbar) he did try again and parked it quite happily
Sorry Matt...

Was he pissed?
More revs Matt, 3/4 throttle is never enough when close quarter handling.

If you listen carefully, you can hear in the background just how sympathetic we were to his plight....
Best get the piss taking out of the way now as he's currently out at the Nab deep water anchorage picking up a tanker...i just happened to post this clip while he's without internet access....purely coincidence m'lord
Im sure he will be along shortly to defend himself as soon as he comes back into internet range...

Bastard- couldn't post a clip of me getting it right could you!
I was quite happy with my efforts actually, there's quite a strong tide trying to pull me off the berth there in my defence

Ahhh, so we do have strong tides here in the Solent then eh?
True though, its a pig of a maneuver to get right and in his defence he only had about 20minutes experience driving that particular launch prior to giving it a go.

Adding Injury to Insult!? So the gits videoed your (patently inadequate) training, mocked you on Youtube and in front of your peers, before placing you in harm's way?
wiLlfish has a retained solicitor - would you like his number?

if anchor handler wasn't out on a job I'm sure my finger would be in the photo gallery by now
has to be said though, I've been well looked after by the company, hopefully not too much nerve/tendon damage. gutted i got through 20 years of steel industry fairly unscathed then go work on a boat for a week and this happens!

No amount of hard hats or high vis jackets would have helped you this time, so still no point in changing a habit of a lifetime . Some kind of pilot boat initiation I 'spose.

Correct ppe was worn (gloves) but as i said previously, most ppe does feck all when you really need it. Common sense had kept me out of trouble the last 20 years, just happened to elude me this time round!
