Oi you buggers , get your own thread.......
Richard , I've had a Shogun ( not the Sport ) for a year now and am delighted with it . It "does everything it says on the tin" . If it comes to a haggle , try for the power upgrade kit . That would cost you a grand , but may only cost them one third of that ! Good Luck !

Oh feck, should have RTFQ
Right, as a grossly over worked MOD civil servant I am now going home, answer phone switched on, if anyone wants a war you will have to wait until Monday. Lou, behave and stop doing an Ann Robinson, the Welsh are sensitive souls you know

I'VE GOT A LANDY TD5 ES
my advice
get a mitsi........
only kidding, sorry codders, i did consider the shogun sport 3.0 v6 when they first came out, check the turning circle as the turning circle on the L200 is a bit hopeless, have a drive and see what you think. A friend has one and he loves it but the family prefer the galaxy they used to have.
i dont expect that helps much, sorrry

Me too... I have both an L200 and a 110 TD5..... so you see Codders, we're not "attacking LR" we're just talking from experience.... Your blinkered approach really does you no credit at all.... I concur with the turning circle on the l200 being "pants".. it's also a bit prone to the back end stepping out in the wet when driven enthusiastically.... but it is a much more comfortable/civilized vehicle if you've got family to consider... but the LR has "it".....

At the beginning of the year yes. By the end no, Uncle Henry from Detroit had taken LR off Herr BMW's hands. Herr BMW had Hams Hall engine plant, Cowley Mini plant and Swindon Pressings. The fab four from the midlands had bought out Rover and started the process of ensuring they had a whacking great pension fund whilst running the business into bankruptcy and eventual fire sale to the Chinese.
By late 2001 I'd decided that working at LR clearly was going to be the pinnacle of my career in the automotive business and moved onto plugs and sockets!

Don't start me off on those subjects I could rant for hours and hours
That was a very wise move getting out , believe me!
I am based in GDEC across the street from the model shop by the way.
