Reason I made the comment about driving is because I am the world's worst passenger - honestly!!!

I was terrified on my powerboat course when I was the passenger - the instructor thought he would have problems as I was so nervous - total Jeckyl and Hyde transformation though when I was at the wheel - he was stunned when he realised I was actually happier in the big waves - but then I was driving!!!

The chances of me getting to Belgium are pretty remote at the moment though - still you never know - that boat is reason enough - and there is a very active Land Rover club - plenty of mud in Belgium!!!

I should like to pass on my experience as a warning to others...

I went along to a "Doggers Meet" with the full expectation of bumping into some like minded souls who have a fondness for all things doggy.

Imagine my surprise when I encountered several chaps standing outside an Isuzu wherein the only thing doggy was the relative position of the two unlovely individuals performing a very enthusiastic but amateurish rendition of the Swansea Serenade.

I didn't know where to hide my Jack Russell.

shogun sport

well by now you've probably decided on what to get but i have experience of both japanese and german (sorry land rover) a new shogun sport 2.5d in march towed a 6.5rib down to torquay for the racing (safety) and the clutch went. going round a roundabout at 25mph on the A27 and the powersteering belt snapped the car nearly went over the roundabout and into oncoming traffic (dealership were more concerned that i hadn't retrieved the aforesaid item from road when towed to them by recovery) car now fixed and running well, power upgrade a must seat covers a must if you are ever getting in it wet ( i teach jetskiing and the seat covers / mats are a godsend when cold and recovering a ski from lee on solent slipway in a hurry) the towbar electrics are crap and must be lubricated / protected after each use (normal i suppose) and with the power upgrade it will reach an indicated 105 mph (alledgedly on a private road the length of salt lake flats) the turning circle is bloody awful and reversing any sort of boat needs to be experienced... as previously mentioned if its running well it does exactly what it says on the tin as for my other one an Overfinch Range Rover 22" alloys are not there for shingle!!!!!
