No, it's not the studenty cruise, we've had a discussion on this and decided to allow grownups too! Being poor impressionable youngsters we need role models to show us what we should aspire to in later life!
If the model boating is on the saturday, I can make it! (P.s., are hovercraft allowed??)

OK.
Model Boats are being got in order for The Big Race.
Don't forget to post any other entries here!
So far there appears to be several craft.
Scrutineering will be conducted by Zippy
It would help if entrants dressed like proper powerboaters (if unsure check out Jimmy Saville on BB )
Hilsea Lido is lookin like the favoured venue and 12.00 start is mooted only because some peeps have a life and have to go out Sat evening!!!!
We can all go for some Irish cappucinos after so that we're in fine form for the stoodents' crooze on the Sunday.

***Important Message***
For reasons various we have decided to postpone the model boat race.
We will definitely have to run it in the near future at a date to be announced soon.
However it does give some more time to tune the props!!! Decide on a course and get our team race wear delivered!
Future time/date to be confirmed...................................

OK new date mooted for this is Saturday 18th March with Sunday in reserve if the weather is 'orrible!
Being as some of us will be out on the Friday night we may need the fresh air to recover.
The model boats are all in top form and raring to go any time at all.
Please check your diaries and let us know how you are fixed that weekend.
OOD will be Martin of RSYC
Shenanigans to be expected so near to Paddy's Day.
Hilsea Lido has been proposed as a popular venue?
If you haven't yet got a boat there are some bargains to be had on EBay !

No chance Chris. I'm getting something with a very high scale speed and will beat everything in its class.
