My new Rib !!

Well the money is now in the bank account of "Mike" from this forum and I take delivery of his DR 600 tomorrow. I cant wait and the boat is going straight into the water on Friday. This is a very well maintained boat and a credit to Mike who has been most helpfull. I feel a big spend on petrol coming on

Thanks Louise. I was looking at your web site and noticed you have a 3.5 kg anchor. Will this hold a 7.5m boat ? I use a 7kg plough and feel that it's just about right. Am I over engineering the safety side here ?

Scotty - that's really just the spare/extra one (left over from smaller boat days ). The main one is a 7.5kg bruce which should be up to the job.

Edit: just seen your post Bilgey! Yes, Richard & I are very much looking forward to travelling east this weekend. Looking forward to seeing you all and getting a ride here and there! Oh, and I'm ALWAYS a good girl!

Sunk By The Forts?

The Valiant was delivered to Luke Yesterday what a nasty drive it is to holyhead!! next time I'll go by sea!!

Thanks to Luke who was easy to deal with and thanks to Whitstable Marine who sorted the trailer out in a hurry as I needed to tow a long way.

Looking forward to seeing new pics of her at sea. Have fun.

Mike

Mike
Go by sea my ass I had 60 knot winds out of Hollyhead but had booked a cabin on the ferry so slept for three hours on the way home. Thanks for everything Mike. I launched the boat today and had great fun wave jumping. BUT........ I forgot to put in the drain plug in the transom and took about two million gallons into the bilge. Rib craned out again and all the water is now back in the Irish sea As soon as my teenage daughter gets a chance I will post pics.
