I still get users telling me that they need to delete jdbmgr.exe from their computers - a hoax that's well old but does the rounds from time to time unfortunately
The symantec page doesn't show when this jesus hoax was discovered though which is unusual.
Things seem to be relatively quiet on the virus front at the moment from a company point of view..... we've gone from picking up around 50 to 100 a day a couple of months ago to only 5 to maybe 10 per day now.
In the mean time the great fun now is spam prevention..... the spam filtering stuff in exchange server 2003 is pretty cool and seems to get around 80% of incoming spam which is far better than our symantec smtp filtering stuff which was flagging legit e-mails to the vts (not good). The only problem now is emphasising that there's a box in outlook called 'junk e-mail' which the majority of users can't seem to find despite being just under 'inbox'.......
Flippin IT, absolute nightmare
