No More Happy Meals for Iceland
Every cloud has a silver lining, McDonald's loss is Iceland's gain:
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/business/8328807.stm
So anyway, apparently the local owner is going to run the franchise under a local brand name...
May I humbly suggest McRonaldsson?

The McDonalds licencer will change all three McDonalds to Metro.....
Majority of their stuff was imported and when exchange rate doubled overnight and has been so for over a year and they unable to rise prices it will only lead to one thing and that is we are facing closing down on Saturday.
I am not one of them missing them

Marinated seal and Dolphin are delicous and should be offered as snack
If you come to ICE-RIB festival in 2011 you can taste marinated Dolphin, smoked Puffin various fishes, salted Fulmarus glacialis this is just to name a few of old Icelandic traditional food

My Canuck cousins (who's name is Legion) always joke that when Canada was established (aka boosted off the French ![wink](https://www.rib.net/forum/images/smilies/wink.gif) ) the plan had been to "marry the French Cuisine with the British Organisational Skills".
Unfortunately someone read the plan arseways....
