No stopping thieves
I just can't believe the lengths thieves will go to - NOTHING is safe if they really want it.
A bloke had his caravan pinched last week despite it being safer than most. He had 2 wheel clamps on and a hitch lock.
The caravan also happened to be behind locked gates which weighed 10 tons each and the whole site was guarded by cctv.
The thieves lifted the gates off their hinges using trolley jacks - they broke the first ones so had to go away to get some more. it took them 2 hours to remove the gates - one of the pillars also broke.
Getting the caravan away was simple in comparison.
The worrying thing was this happened on a weekend in broad daylight by a busy main road!!! To make matters even worse the men weren't wearing dressed as workmen - they had black balaclavas on!!!
Even the police said they deserved to get away with it because of the amount of effort they put into it. If they will go to these lengths for an average sort of caravan what the hell will they do to get a RIB - or is it that the caravans are harder to trace???
All this was on CCTV - crystal clear.
