The 18yr was our favourite. Unbelievably smooth & you only get smoke on the finish. Normally the Lagavulin distillers edition is my “go to” but the Coal ila is a different league.

Very nice, deciding from which bottle to have a dram will occupy some of these long restricted winter nights.

I just finished a bottle of Caol Ila 12 before Christmas in time to receive bottles of Lagavulin and Bunnahabhain yesterday.


I did invest in a bottle of Sprinkbank 15 at start of first lockdown, which remained unopened until we came out of it back in mid May....none left now though

It was a "while you wait" taster so not indicative - it may be a few years before you can tell as it is a start up. Tried a bit of the real stuff - bit peaty for me. Nice distillery though.
