I wonder if he's fitted the right cooling setup to that turbo? It'll get pretty damn hot in there...

Used to have a 1996 Lotus Elan SE with Ford 4 cyl. Of course highly modified by Lotus. Best Engine I ever owned but a 350 Chevy comes in a very close second.

I thought the 96 Elan SE had an Isuzu engine as standard? Was yours a custom?

Lotus always stood for Lots Of Trouble Usually Serious.

True with mine, but I loved it anyway...

Whoops. I meant a 1966 Lotus Elan SE. Obviously that mistake did not make me feel any younger

a bit of tin, a bit of board -- and you gotten a Ford.

However with all due respects, someone told me that the 2.8 v6 TDI( which from all accounts is first class)- in the discovery, and Range Rover is in fact a Ford engine??. I thought it was a Peugeot?

Jonathan

Your source was nearly right - the diesel engine in the new Freelander was developed with Peugeot.
