Hi David, it was a skippered charter along the coast of Lanzarote which, when out of the port, he let you sail. It was a bit rough and ready but a very pleasant way to spend an afternoon.
The only powered boats I could find to hire had restricted 15hp OB, which with the wind and tide here would mean a max speed of about 3 knots!

Perfect! Sailing starts at around 18 kts of wind. I grew up sailing a 10m monohull boat on the San Francisco Bay. We used to head out for the daily afternoon wind for a few hours of sailing.
