One for the detailers

Does anyone know how to remove the white substance left behind after using white spirit to clean off residue from plastic?

I was cleaning my dash of my t4 and the rubber floor earlier and it's left a white substance behind and can't shift it!!

Back-to-Black

There is a product I use which is available at Halfords or most motor factors, called 'Back-to-Black'. Comes in an aerosol or, IIRC, in a bottle which you can apply with a cloth.

Maybe a bit of Vaseline (petroleum Jelly) will work. I use it to hide scrathes etc on plastics.

That would make the foot-well very slippery and dangerous, especially if it gets on the brake/clutch/accelerator pedals.
