Outhill people were so bloody rude at the Southampton boat show I would not buy from them on principle. If the others have copied thier product I hope they didn't copy the attitude ! I bought a centre cosole from Humber and it's great and it's orange too.

If I remember rightly at the southampton show, Outhill were next to the Holiday Inn with a new demo rib that seemed to be showcasing their pods and consoles etc - after asking for quotes on some replacement pods for the ballistic, I asked what they were selling the rib for and the response was "probably a bit out of your budget" - possibly, but made my blood fkin boil.

Hate that. 4 years ago for xmas, dad said he'd buy us a new widescreen tv in the sales. I went into John Lewis, and no matter how hard I tried, I could not actually buy a tv, because nobody thought I was actuall good for £2k!!

Roll Royce used to have a policy that all their salesmen must treat ALL possible customers the same. They said it never ceased to amaze them how often some scruffy oik ended up coming back a few years later and buying their cars.

Just look at people like Howard Hughes and ozzy osbourne and you will see what I mean!!!

The richest bloke I know I actually took to be a tramp the first time I met him - he was supping a pint in a massive nightclub and I thought the bar staff had taken pity on him - couldn't believe it when they told me he owned the whole city block the nightclub was built on!!!

As you and codders say - first impressions can be misleading, and if you get it wrong, you'll miss a sale!

I tried this too, when I went to a car show to look at the Hummer H2, the sales guy wouldn't let me look inside the car, it's out of your budget kind of guy.
Going back to his shop next month, when I get my car, just to show him, that he missed out on a big commision.

Fuckers (sorry about the launguage)

Rene

I find this all the time being the really scruffy f*cker that I am. I usually drive old nail jap 4x4's as tow vehicles too,but with soddin great knobblies on them because I don't like the idea of damaging a new one while playing in the mud.

Anyway, I went to have a look at a newish Navarra that a local non-nissan dealer had in as a P/X .My fourtrak was waiting for insurance repairs at the time after someone ran into it and I was expecting it to be written off-though it wasn't in the end. Predictably, I got the same response. I happened to be driving a hired 54 plate Disco at the time ( paid for by insurance). I said 'so you're not interested in taking the Disco as a p/x then? Sod you I'll go elsewhere", got in it and drove off. His face was a picture.

I'm just considering buying the Warn hidden Winch system too, I would really like a winch, I just don't like looking at it.
