Parrot Mki9200 or Mki9000

All

Does anyone have any direct experience that can help me choose between a Parrot Mki9200 and a Parrot Mki9000?

Basically the 9000 is the same as the 9200 but without the small screen.
I understand the 9000 ‘speaks’ the menu options as you select them.
Both have the steering wheel attached control unit that looks reasonably like original equipment.

My thoughts – ignoring the small price differential.

The screen must give you a lot more information making it easier to operate the system.

Having the screen means you’ve got to find room for it on the dash, and it will never look integrated or ‘tidy’.
Plus it’s another thing to remove when you park up, leaving a nice little bracket to advertise that there may be a loose piece of equipment chucked in a glovebox etc.

I’d appreciate learning from anyone’s experience, particularly that of how easy the mki9000 is to use without the screen.

Or, does anyone know of any other kit that has the hands free facilities AND all the music streaming facilities of the Parrot kit.

Phone:-
Bluetooth hands free
Voice commands
etc

Music streaming from:-
Phone via Bluetooth
Any device via jackplug.
Direct from SD card via built in cable. (Very useful)
Direct from USB device vai built in cable. (My favorite, and why I'm looking at the Parrot kit)

Thanks

Nasher.

Thanks Mollers

I originally looked at the 3200, but I like the idear of the SD card and USB music inputs.

I want to make the most of the Harmon Kardon Logic 7 Audio system in the D3 without having loads of CDs in the car, or relying solely on my phone for music storage.

I had the 3200 fitted and replaced it with the mki9000 when I recieved an Ipod for christmas.

I find using it simple and the sound quality is great, the usb, ipod connector and 3.5mm jack make playing music of pretty much anything possible.
I didnt think the screen would be that helpful, but i think (not sure) it displays the track name, maybe someone can clarify that.
