Phone choice

I'm on a contract, and haven't upgraded my phone for 4 and a half years, so am obviously due a decent phone as a free upgrade.
I have a fully fitted Car kit at the moment, and didn't want to move over to a stupid thing in my ear. Unless I looked Borg enough to attract 7of9 of course

I've done a deal with Vodafone for a free Parrot Mki9200 or 3200 kit, and they've offered me a free Nokia 5800, Samsung Tocco, or Nokia 6210 Navigator to go with it.

Anyone had the parrot kits or phones and can offer some advise on which I should choose?

The camera I'm not interested in, but want the MP3 and internet access.
I don't currently have any other Satnav for the car, but the 6210 screen seams a bit small.

I use a Blackberry Storm with Parrot in 3 seperate parrot equiped vehicles, and hands free with parrot is good but..... it wont pair with Nokia N95 or N96 properly which are my backup phones.. you wont get all the directory entries.. but it works as a hands free fine, there are some bluetooth integration issues with some Nokias I think and I notice that in one vehicle the sound is a bit bassey and dont think I can change it which annoys me

You want an iPhone with a Bluetooth car kit. There's Tom Tom package on the way too.

OK, lucky you.
But I only pay £17.95 a month and as I said I've arranged the Parrot as part of my upgrade, so have the choice of the phones mentioned.
Actually the Samsung Blade is also available to me as a Free upgrade.

Anybody any views on these phones?

Thanks Bigmuz7
Is the Parrot 3200 screen removeable? Or is it a permanant install?

Nasher.

Go for the 6210 navigator… one of the best phones I have ever had. (I used to be a buyer for Vodafone so have had one or two phone over the years )

It works
It is fast
It dose not hang or have annoying “why did it do that” issues
I have tomtom’s but have used the navigator function on this a few times when I have been stuck. And it is good it even looks up function for places you want to find MacDonalds etc (you know the important places), switch on the voice to talk you along and you really don’t need to see the screen really. Nokia do a proper hang up cup for this phone so you could have it held properly and not have one of those silly adjustable ones.

I have not used it with a Bluetooth car kit yet so can not say how it works with this and the nav function.

6210 nav

BTW its nav is as good as my tom tom , and the find and go app is great for getting to your nearest McD's when you want a junk food frenzy and it costs half of an iphone ,... but no wifi personally I prefer the suretouch feel of the keyboard which you actually have to press unlike the iphone .. but that iphone .... is sure one bit of sexy kit ... this I know cos I also have an ipod touch

Ended up with a bit of a change of plan

I called Vodafone this morning and said that I wanted a Free N97 because it had been so long since I'd Upgraded.
I tried hard but couldn't persuade a free one out of them as well as the Parrot kit, but did manage to get a free Samsung Jet S8000 instead.
Not bad for no extra cost I suppose, and for what I do with a phone the Jet is still way over the top.
