I do too...it's nice to have choice though.
I also agree with Wilk, how can anyone have a good malt in their house and not have it open. I understand making it last, but not opening it?
I wouldn't have the self discipline to stare at a really good bottle of whisky for too long before needing to see if it was actually any good, my curiousity would get the better of me.
It feels like the Corry is the one to try

How was it? I’ve got a 12yr Springbank lurking somewhere.

Very nice indeed
Less smokey than the Isalys, but lots of complex flavour.

Some distilleries use oak casks, some maple. Previously filled with fine sherries and bourbons.
I suspect Laphroaig make theirs outta old railway sleepers and treat them with Cuprinol.

The Corryvreckan arrived this evening....wow!
Tried first sip undiluted to get a feel - bad move. Definitely needs a drop or two of cold water to unlock the taste.
Compared with a sip of Lagavullen, which is softer & smoother, I think the Corry will take a couple of drams to fully appreciate.
Thanks for the advice chaps

That was quick. It's cask strength, likely nearly 58% so yes, one of rare times I add water and in this case, as much as "same again". It's potent stuff, made to sip and ponder. The length and evolution of the flavours is where it really shows. My regular sippin' Islay is Caol Ila, a much more approachable dram, but a shadow of the Corry.

Get away with ya, Lightweight! And it'll be real creosote not that creosote substitute rubbish.
Laphroaig or an old Bowmore for me...along with some white Cheshire cheese on a granary biscuit...yum....
PS. No added water, no wonder it tastes like TCP.

I didn't belive that was real, until I Googled it! Wouldn't you think they would try and make it look appealing, even if it doesn't sound appealing!
So what's it like Dave?
