PWC Certificate (Sorry not RIB related)

Hi,
I am after doing my RYA Personal Watercraft Certificate with 2/3 friends.
Anyone know any good places?
Anyone know the average price?
I have done a ‘Google’ but thought I would see if anyone on here can recommend anywhere.

Steve

You should be paying about £100 for the course. I take it your in Rochdale nr Manchester so your local PWC centres would be Safe Water in New Brighton and Frodsham Watersports.

Ones a little further away would be Plas Menai, Colwyn bay Jet Ski Club, Offshore Sea School and Us.

Be aware that with the PWC course that many centres are Powerboat Centres that just do PWC as well, ask a few questions when phoning around to see if the centre actually know what they are on with and know somthing about PWC's & jet skiing, also what skis they have got and what age. I know some centres who run really good courses and actually cover some distance and use some fuel and others that dont go further than the harbour enterance.

My advice to you if doing it this time of year is go for somewhere in sheltered waters like Plas Menai, as they can run this course all year round, we are in non sheltered waters so only run the course Easter to Sept.

Hope this helps, if you want any advice do not hesitate to drop me a line.

Jono
