Hi everyone. Jo and I have just returned from a private aid visit to the Philippines typhoon disaster area. We are raising funds for galvanised iron (GI) sheets for people to effect a temporary repair on their houses. PM me or email
bp@pobox.com if you would like to be involved / help / fund / raise funds. Every penny we are given will be used to purchase the hardware and the sheets when we return in late January and they will distribution will be managed by a wise and experienced local couple who have been recommended to us by a huge trustworthy church in Manila.
On the way out of the area, I saw a rib which had been thrown by the surge current into a main street about 400m from the harbour. A problem a little bit greater for the owner than the ones we face?
Thanks for reading.
Bruce
