Removal of tidal/non-tidal and coastal/ inland from RYA

Has anyone seen the latest news from the RYA.

Removal of tidal/non-tidal and coastal/inland distinction from RYA Sailing, Windsurfing and Powerboat Instructor qualifications.

So moving forward from Jan 2017 all instructors will be tidal and coastal and it is the Principal’s responsibility to ensure all staff have received appropriate training...

Any current instructors will lose the inland / coastal at the next renewal after 2017.

They are still keeping the course completion certificates as coastal/inland due to the location of the training centre.**
