RIBnet express? Port Talbot to Brighton/Solent
I've just bought a small kayak from a bloke in Port Talbot and wondered whether anyone might be heading east along the M4 in the not too distant future who might be able to pick it up for me please? Happy to contribute to fuel/beer/Macmillan as appropriate. Thanks

Maximus is going from Brizzle to Poole tomorrow which would have made a proper relay, but I don't think we can get off the starting blocks in time to make that happen.
DHD any idea when you might be heading in this vague direction? Maybe we could work from there...

I'm in Swindon if that helps for a drop off point, but not sure that I can transport it as the disco roof basket isn't really the right shape?

Can drop off here if it's the weekend? Unfortunately I'm in Avonmouth the next couple of days but only in a silly little hire car.

And this one's less than half the length of those barges!

No immediate plans I'm afraid, but if it helps things between you & the seller, I can pick it up tomorrow and hang onto it until I'm on the road East. That will probably be in the next 3 weeks.
Regrettably, I'm in Swansea a couple of times a week, so picking it up from Port Talbot is no problem, as it's just a few stops up the M4.

The kayak is now in Carmarthen. If anyone's passing near here on their way East and can take this with them, before I head off that way myself, please drop me a pm.
It's a tiny little thing - definitely not as long as its new owner!

A quick bump for this one. Can anyone help get this little boat out of DHD's garage and on its way westward? No hurry this end, but I'm sure he'd like to get it out of the way.

No rush at this end either, but if anyone is passing by, then let me know.
