I have not had the chance to meet Louise. She - from what I have seen on this board- seems

- to have her head screwed on the right way
- very clever
- extremely capable
- highly intelligent
- drives a big rib
- very helpful

Fishfinder module for the Raymarine C80 - NOT only for looking for fish!!!! Maybe if I just said SONAR it would make more sense - or echo sounder??? Tells you how deep the water is and the bottom contours etc - pretty useful I would have thought???

Ah now I get it..... dont tell me - the codder's rib is infact ... a submarine???
any ribber worth his hyperlon - will have depth on his chartplotter??

I got some bad news for you mate. I was told last night that Raymarine are laying off 260 staff and moving production to China.

So.........
By the time you get your boat together it will be mostly chinese.

Yes it does appear to be true - but what most people fail to understand is that when things like this happen it is where the head office is and the technical staff that REALLY count - assembly doesn't count for much!!!

MOST manufacturers these days go down the same route.

Intel and seagate etc are Yank firms but they don't actually MAKE the products in the USA!!!

Yup. Almost as useful as a bit of passage planing with a pilot and a chart.

Helps find things, not dived on a wreck of a RIB yet though.
