Actually since the arrival of the internet I NEVER buy newspapers!!! I go to the following websites to try to get a broader picture.

BBCnews

CNN

Telegraph

Annanova

http://www.haaretzdaily.com/

Never even watch TV anymore - if there is a prog I fancy such as TopGear I just download it!!!

I quite agree. But thank god a lot of people still buy newspapers..... ( although its going down 3to5% every year. As a matter of conjecture was comparing the coverage of CNN and BBC news on the recent bombings. I found that CNN was more adapted to this kind of thing than BBC news - although CNN have a terrible habit of rolling the same bit of tape many times over - they seem to have more information availabe than the BBC. Opinions please

ps what is annanova??

Should have been

http://www.ananova.com/

Owned by mobile phone company Orange - did quite a bit of work for them in 2000 - quite an independant news channel - look at the quirkies section - it's FANTASTIC!!!

Here is an example - they are all TRUE!!!

"An Indian yoga teacher is hoping to get in the record books by swallowing fish and blowing them out of his nose.

G P Vijaya Kumar swallowed 509 small fish through his mouth and blew them out of his nose within one hour, reports The Asian Age.

He was inspired by American Kevin Cole who holds the record for the longest spaghetti strand blown out of a nostril in a single blow.

Mr Kumar, of Gunduppalavadi in Tamil Nadu, started experimenting with live fish after successfully ejecting peas and corn through his nose"
