Rough weather soundtrack-suggestions?

I'm trying to compile the ultimate rough weather soundtrack for the MP3 player that'll be fitted soon-hence looking for Night on Bare Mountain.
So far I've got (in this order):-
Carl Orff-O Fortuna
Metallica-Battery
Type O Negative-Everyone I Love is Dead
Bach-Toccata and Fugue in D minor
Trivium-Drowned and Torn Asunder
Mussorgsky-Night on Bare Mountain
Antiproduct-Bungee Jumping People Die
-
-
-
-
-
Finish off with Ride of the Valkyries.

Any good suggestions for in between?

If I use Phantom it's got to be the version from Live after Death. Good call It's actually my phone ringtone and I often don't answer for a while just so I can listen to it

Rime of the Ancient Mariner needs to be in there as well-from Live after Death too

I'm trying to get them in an order where they flow nicely.

Do you want a copy when it's done?

Oh yes, can't wait.

Thank you very much.

The only copy of Phantom I have is a live version on an album in the car I can't remember the name of, but that version is about 8 minutes from memory.
That track has traces of everything in it - Rock, Punk, Jazz, R&B.

The album has the usual IM minimal number of tracks, but also has a live version of 'Murder in the Rue Morgue' and 'Run to the Hills'

Mars -Holst planets

Can't believe I thought about them together!

Anything by 'Killing Joke' or 'Pop will eat itself'

Sixy's probably got it-she's got almost everything Maiden have ever done on vinyl and CD.

A good rendition of Rule Britainia would be good. And, just for Codders, how about H. Secombe and Danny Boy.
I know I am an old fart.

Scheherazade is excellent but none of the acts are dark enough.

I've just found a copy of 'In the Hall of the Mountain King' which is going on there, along with Mars (cheers Nasher)

I'm trying to get the transitions to work between the tracks too so you don't lose the 'zone' of it if you see what I mean?

Paul suggests

Paradigm shift : Mike Portnoy - Dream Theatre ??(he likes the drumming )

Personally I like shouting along with Meatloaf but he might be a bit lite

And of course there's Sunday Bloody Sunday U2 (especially if work looks tough on Monday)

The transitions on these work rather well...
Think I'll leave it at this-by the time this lot have played I'll be worn out or stuffed it from going too fast

So far I've got (in this order):-
Carl Orff-O Fortuna
Metallica-Battery
Type O Negative-Everyone I Love is Dead
Bach-Toccata and Fugue in D minor
Trivium-Drowned and Torn Asunder
Mussorgsky-Night on Bare Mountain
Bal Sagoth-Black Dragons Soar above the Mountain of Shadows
Marilyn Manson-Burning Flag
Soundgarden-Jesus Christ Pose
Iron Maiden-Rime of the Ancient Mariner
Wagner-Ride of the Valkyries.

And just to kill any appreciation of anything else because very little compares to it...

Iron Maiden-Phantom of the Opera.

Paradigm shift would work too...I think there's room for hundreds of these compilations.

The Spambat is just WRONG

Bloody hell-I just read back through the posts and there's some seriously good suggestions there. I'm still going to be a git and leave it as is-it's 1.23 long and after that it'll lose its edge. The idea was to vary it enough that it allowed a rest from the really driving beats but kept the tempo and mood the same-along with getting transitions between tracks that work without any overkill of anything in particular. I think as is that it's worked REALLY well.

I'm not sure there's anywhere I can upload this lot to without getting a serious spanking. Some of it is highly copyrighted.
Of course, if someone was to send me a PM and have it transferred by a proprietary messenger service as a zip file I doubt they'd ever find out...

I think one of the tunes from "Titanic " would be most fitting- especialy when it sinks????????????

Ok joking aside:
1812 overture/ and or one of the tracks from, Swan lake
Soundtrack to Matrix..
Mahlers 2nd - resurrection last movement..
Call to pray in the original from the The armed man , Karl Jenkins( Allah is Great)
Malcom Arnold -ending from his 6th symphony
Listz's Dante symphony,
And of course dont forget Stavinsky firebird,( only one decent version - Pababi and the Belgium Radio symphony orcehestra
And for our American cousins some John Adams or Philip Glass...

the list is endless...

Jonathan
