Whilst I wasn't able to watch a lot of the match, the bits I did see were the usual giving away of possession by England by kicking the ball up the field at every opportunity. I expect the Wallabies were delighted to be gifted it so easily.

A much as I love rugby and England and so wished to be proved wrong, I'm afraid that the writing has been on the wall for the last 4 years.
The gap between the N and S hems is currently as great as ever. The ABs, and lately Australia, are playing rugby on another level. For England to have had any genuine chance in this RWC, they had to be consistently the best side in Europe, they haven't been. England have not been dominant in the 6N throughout Lancaster's tenure.
England have some supremely talented players, but they so lack direction, confidence and belief. Robshaw is not decisive or clear thinking enough as skipper, the midfield selection muddle has been a joke. Burgess was brought in too early etc, etc. The press are now going to deservedly tear Lancaster and co. apart and we have to now wait another four years FFS!
Have just read this.
10 things Stuart Lancaster got wrong as England crashed out of Rugby World Cup 2015 - Telegraph

When will England learn that if you don't have possession you can't score, and if the other side do they can!
If you kick you have either have
a) to find touch a long way away to offset the loss of possession
or
b) be under it and catch it.
Hoiking it hopefully / desperately up-field into the hands of good wingers / full backs just gives away possession and allows them to come back at you with speed.
I won't even start on some of the bizzare selection choices.
They really shouldn't schedule these matches so late either- whether we win or lose they really don't put me in a gentle calm mood for my Horlicks at bedtime!
