This move has been generating excitement for most of the summer. A massive talent, still not a given that he'll cut it under the U code though. I'm a bit of a Bath fan from the days before the Chiefs went Prem, I've watched their last three games on BT Sport, man do they need Burgess up to speed and fast, they've been shite.
There are three more of 'em and Mum.

I like the lad, I hope that he smashes it within the union code, but it could go either way.

Hard to tell. Bath eased him in very gently at centre and then announced that he was a blindside.

Watched him play at Christmas at 6 in defence and moved into 12 at attack, then wondered around trying to remember which play he was supposed to be where.
To be fair he did pull players to him which made holes for others. OK on a crash ball and good in the tackle.
But not overly impressed.

Early days...but I hear he has really impressed with his athleticism and attitude at Bath..one thing for sure is neither Bath or England will carry "dead wood"!
I'm hopeful his Undoubted class will shine through and that he'll be a real asset to the England World Cup challenge.
Time will tell. The French match will be interesting!
If he pulls it off...Be some story!

'Slammin' Sam had a reasonable game, but I doubt if he'll make the '1st team' other than on the bench.
How about the Exeter daft haircuts? Slade was sublime, the best performance of the match for me. A standing ovation from the England bench.
Keep an eye on Cowan Dickie, he had a bit of a howler throwing in yesterday, but he is a class act. He was the shining star of his age group which came out of Cornwall, which included Nowell.
I know the lad who skippered him, he said that Cowan Dickie was in a different league.

Did'not see that much Ball...although didn't disgrace himself at all..(.apart from the yellow )
England seemed to be happy just to stay in front without putting the after-burners on..IF..he makes the bench,he's bound get another go in a long attritional tournament
Slade does look like a REAL FIND At this level!! ...and he's hitting Top form with perfect timing!
Bring em on!!!

I like the look of the lad and really hope that his union star shines as brightly as his league, but I'm not holding my breath. Other than Jason Robinson, few Brit league converts have really cut the mustard post code swap, inc. big names such as Andy Farrell.
Burgess has pipped Burrell to a centre slot, which is tough for Burrell, but he's not quite hit the form recently that he showed a couple of seasons ago.
Naturally, I'm keeping an eye on the Cornish/Chiefs boys, I reckon that Slade (Devon), has the potential to be a tournament top performer.
