Sat nav dangerous

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/wales/south_west/6646331.stm

"A 20-year-old woman's car was wrecked by a train after she followed her sat nav system onto a railway track."

There have been quite a few incidents like this now - sat navs are obviously very dangerous and should carry a government warning - for women drivers!!!

Tell me about it - my girlfriend fully agrees about women drivers. Old drivers are a much more dangerous breed - irrespective of gender - don't see many of them using sat nav though - probably too deaf to hear it and can't read the screen......

You guys should check out the driving test deal in Ireland... I failed my test 1.5 times there, dropped the examiner off after the test/s and drove myself off home!

Passed on Test No. 2.5 though ... the flirting + stethoscope on the back seat worked a treat

Please explain the 0.5 of a test bit - I thought you could only get them in whole numbers

Other classic example of Sat Nav is one hotel in Southampton area. The sat nav gets you as close as it feels you can be. Only trouble is that this requires you to park on the hard shoulder of the M3 and walk up the grass bank

A "0.5 test" happens when you present for a test, successfully get halfway through it ... and then the examiner cops that you're attempting to take the test in an "illegal vehicle"

I passed driving tests 1, 2, 4 and 6. Failed 3 and 5 but always completed the test. Not a stethoscope in sight!

When I took my theory test I had been driving on a full licence since before anyone else in the room was even born. That made me feel a bit old.
