S'hampton Airport to Cowes

Can any locals advise on the most sensible way to travel on foot between the two?

Short taxi ride followed by long ferry ride or long taxi/short ferry? Or trains?

Looking for a balance between price/speed/ease if ya know what I mean

That would be my route.

Post what your rough timings will be, you never know, there's enough of us around this part of the South coast that one of us may be able to help you out.

Thanks for the advice, I'm looking into maybe coming over to do the first aid and sea survival courses that Tim's running at the end of November.

I suppose I'd be pushing it to travel on the morning or evening of the course days so I'll probably travel on the 25th and 28th (fri and mon)

If your at Southampton Airport the train station is right there about 2 min walk from the exit of the terminal building, so hop on a train to Southampton Central, then short 5 or 10 min walk to the red jet ferry terminal and a quick high speed journey across to Cowes.
