SiTE UPDATE

As various things approach the end of the line my web masters have updated for the LAST TIME my site.

This is the final vesrion (and except of some minor changes that will not change anything much) this will be it.

I would be most grateful if you can have a look at it now and tell me what you think. Any feedback will be highly appreciated

If is not that much trouble please have a look at http://www.boatmadholidays.com or click at the boatmad holidays link at the bottom of this page.

Many thanks
Manos

Hi Simmon and many thanks for the feed back.
Yes the banner is short of not right yet. They are re-design it. This is of one of the modifications they will have to make.
Also as soon as I will have the boats in Greece the photos of the bvoats will change. Apart from that all other photos will remain as they are.

Cheers Ian.
Is been a race with all the licenses and permissions that I have to get. Apparently the boats have a CE certificate for 12 people that means according to Greek laws 2 life rafts (each for six persons), 15 life jackets 13 for adults and 2 for children and lots and lots of flares, floating anchor, 200 mtrs ropes, 20 mtrs chain, 2 anchors etc etc. Not to mentione EPIRBs, VHFs (DSC) and GPSs!! ......and you cannot immagine the paper work involved!! A nightmare!!
Hopefully will all be shorted by next week or so with the permissions!!

I do believe it...

... been going through the same process here.
Why two rafts instead of one? Surely as long as you have sufficient size for max. number onboard you only need one. 12 and 14 man rafts are available and it means you only have to mount one raft. The canister size for a 14 man isn't much bigger than a 6 man, of the ones I saw at the London Boat Show. This saves space on the deck.

Great site

I really like it - it's easy to navigate and contains a wealth of information.

Two points to consider:

- a few spelling/grammar errors (sorry - that's the English teacher in me!!)
- the 'racing' section in 'Activities' suggests to me that you will be offering holidaymakers the opportunity to watch or even take part in RIB racing. Is that what you intend?

As I said though, I think it's a great site and has certainly persuaded me that a holiday in Santorini is well worth considering. Might see you there one day!

Ian In Greece they make open liferafts for 6 persons not for 12 or 14. So I will have to get 2x6 persons each. Is not a problem for stowing the boat has huge amounts of space on board (thank God for that!!)

Louise, Many thanks for your very constructive comments and the feed back. I will be giving the write up to Joanna once she gets back from the USA to correct it. I was never good with spelling and grammar in any language.
RIB racing is one of things we will be organising between April and May poss June and also Spet and Oct. I am talking with some organisations in France, Greece and Italy and this idea may well become an international event. Is all under discussion but it looks very promissing.
I have to say overall so far so good!!
