With full respects to those stuck in traffic, I must say I can only smile how couple of inches of snow can put everything on hold................ hope you girls and lads will have fun with the snow over the weekend whilst we are melting in -8 degrees, no wind and clear skies wearing Tshirt outside...

We had it fairly badly in Truro. I had to bring 7 kids back from school in the L200, 9 in the thing in total! It didn't think about getting stuck. I saw some Freelanders sliding all over the place. Got hit up the arse twice by sliding 2 wheel drives. With a 2" box section tow bar + hitch I wasn't too bothered as their bumpers kinda crumpled. Kids loved it.

Back at base after rescue mission (school run). It's just taken a mum 5hrs to drive 3 miles from Truro to Carnon Downs to collect her daughter from ours. It's bedlam out there.

Cheeky Git Kerns! Notice my pic is from the drive. No pictoral evidence that I'd been out today. Am I the Cornish Codder?!!

I dunno you and Bob are a right pair, both taking pictures from your bedroom windows, be careful, next time you'll burn your pajamas on the radiators

Taken outside

Was out yesterday HGV training, weather was fine in the morning down west (Camborne) decided to head back home about midday, that's when the fun started.

Got as far as Bugle all roads blocked, after a number of attempts finally gave up abandoned truck and walked home. 6 BL***Y miles.
Sue said I could do with the exercise.

Then back out in the Cruiser to resuce daughter

Got to go back out today and try to recover truck.

The worst I've heard Bob, was Truro to Penelewey (three miles) took 4 hours! The Falmouth to Truro road was nose to tail virtually at a standstill all night.

How did you get stuck in that??? Or was it an icy hill that defeated you?

Hills, every way we went there was an artic not able to get up the hills and then blocked them for everyone else. Don't forget this is the south coast of Cornwall we NEVER get snow.Well the council don't think we do, I did not see one gritter or a single police car.

I saw a few gritters Bob, parked up in a big shed in Scorrier next to a pile of salt. I think they'd heard the forecast and thought, " 'Bit rough out there, best stay put"

They must have thought we had paid for the salt to put on their pasties.
