Solent weather conditions

Anyone down on the south coast and can give me an idea of how rough the Portsmouth area is ?
Was planning on heading to Isle of Wight but if too rough will take ferry or abandon plans altogether.
There seem to be so many lows coming through, finding a weather window is looking tricky !

Just collected a boat from the Marina, it was force 9 there this morning but pretty calm now. They are expecting more bad weather later today.

I wouldn't worry too much about the weather if you're taking an 8m+ Scorpion with a 300. Would eat F6's and 7's with ease the rest could be taken with a bit of wind direction/tide calculating IMO.

got to really play it by ear down here, one minute its sunny, next its raining, probably be able to call it nearer the date, on saying that, we've had four seasons in one day lately
