Southampton Boat Show

Who's going to be there, either visiting or exhibiting? I'm guessing there will be the familiar face of Jon Brooks on the icom stand, but who else is about?

I'll be exhibiting on the Victory Yacht Charters/Haslar Sea School stand so if you are there do pop across and say hello - 5% off any Sea School Courses for RibNetters!

15th - 24th September.

www.southamptonboatshow.com is a singularly useless website, where if you're lucky, you may be able to get additional information!

Had a good day at the show today with Mrs Nasher and our two lads.

Called in on Jimbo to say hello, and spent 15mins talking to Cookee whilst drooling over the Bananashark.
Also liked the Ribeye 9.2M cabin rib with twin inboards. and the Goldfish 29' 'Tender Rib'!!

Well worth a visit, particularly enjoyed a trip around the Lifeboat as seen on seaside rescue.

Nasher.

I want a day off work mid-week if possible. I might dress as a Pirate for a laugh.

Andy

I normally do the show mid-week to try and avoid the crowds, but went over the weekend this year when the boys gave me so much grief about going too.

I have to say, I didn't think it was any more busy today than it has been during the week before, and there was a different atmosphere with all the families about.

I was going to drive to Ashhurst in the New Forest and meet up with my Father in-law Alan. He's a Yachty.

Nasher, was nice to see you, your lady wife and the boys - as you saw from today our stand is a little like a goldfish bowl so we felt a bit penned in!

I think the show went better today than previously, I await with interest how many visitors we get during the week. Most of the interest our end was for our partner in Turkey, as it seems sailing yachts in the sun are more popular than those in the Solent!

Cookee, I must try and make it over to your stand to see you! Are you doing demos? My work colleague would love to see the bananashark in action.

You need to talk to Kitten about those - send him a PM - we're in South Devon near Salcombe.

It was great to see everyone who stopped for a chat - I think last Saturday was official Ribnet and Boatmad day although the first Friday I had JK, Jon Fuller, and Tony Davis stop by and that was amusing to say the least - Over to you JK!

Oh, I wasn't there at the time. I think the story really ought to be told my someone who actually witnessed the happenning!
