Spinnaker tower
I'm supprised this hasn't already been discussed on here!
I went up it for the first time on Saturday evening - best time to go as there was no que. So up we went in the internal lift (seriously packed in I might add) up to the top. The view is amazing. Here are a few pics I took with my phone so the quality isn't great.
Notice on the third the plastic owl on the roof to stop birds sitting on it.

I went up the Spinnaker Tower last weekend, and definitely recommend it too.
The glass floor 100m up is a bit freaky!
John
PS Does anyone know if it's been BASE jumped yet?

Brilliant stuff - what's wrong with base jumping anyway???
Loved the comments by the Police - they were actually decent for a change!!!
"CCTV footage does not show him jumping but we believe he landed in the service yard where he picked up his chute and ran to a waiting car.
"The registration number of this car was picked up on CCTV."
A spokeswoman for Hampshire Constabulary said the jump had been reported to them but added: "It is not a crime to jump off a tower."

Okay it may not be an offence to jump off a bloody tower but Joe Public doesn't kniow that. And anyway surely it should be. The stupid buggers would clog up the NHS Hospuital free gratis if they hurt themselves and they also incourage other idiots to do the same.
I have no sympathy for them. Absolute Chavs and Knobs.
But there again thats Blairs Britain....

So anyway over the last few years I have helped contribute to Gordon Browns NHS revival fund. An extra £40 billion pounds. And guess what its gettting used on those stupid base jumpers if they have a problem.
If I had my way they would have there own insurance. wasters.

You could say the same about people who go to sea in fast boats when they don't have a valid reason for doing so.......
Or people getting hit by golf balls - or people mountain biking - or people playing rugby etc etc etc.
How dare these people have FUN???

They change the colour of the lights most nights. On valentines day it was pink. I think blue is my favorite. I'm very lucky; my uni flat is on the 10th floor so I have a great view of it from my window at night.
