The BBC appear to require a technical specialist:
"The coastguard said it was currently battling against six-foot seas with wind speeds of less than 18.5km per hour."

Quite an ask of a 300ft, 3000t CG cutter.

Finally a decent is effort underway - assume the UK Hercules will operate out of Graciosa / Azores (US Airbase that should have been involved at the start)

The thing is, they are now at the same point in the search as when the container ship passed the hull, but they were then diverted without stopping...

Stormforce- Missing Yacht.
"As a matter of policy the US Coastguard does not perform salvage"
Arghhhhhhh were not talking salvage, how difficult can it be to roll it and see if it has a life raft is on it,
Come on US Coastguard it really doesn't feel like your giving this 100%.
Still hoping for a good outcome......

The news no one wanted to hear - the liferaft has been found inside the hull - it was never deployed. The PLB signals clearly were from lifejackets in the water. The search is now officially off and survival possibilities all but zero.
There is still much to said about this incident - this is I believe not the time or the forum where that should take place.
Deepest sympathies to all families, friends and others associated.

Missing Yacht: Life Raft Discovered Unused
very sadly - Liferaft discovered "unused".
PLB's must have been activated when they were in the water.
Thoughts are with their families at this time.
