Suffering

Bad mood?

Me?

Oh yes……

I’ve slowly come to realise what a self-centred, self obsessed, patronising, interfering, moaning bunch of tossers the human race has become…and I include myself in that comment. Look at some of the complete drivel that has been posted on this board in the last few days. People of little or no life experience lecturing about “safety”. People whinging about the cost of fuel. People completely disregarding other people’s enjoyment of life. People just talking utter bollox about some inconsequential minutia….. Damn! Have we all lost sight of the “big picture”? Who, on this board, cannot claim to be “relatively” well off? That includes the “student” population on here, after all I ain’t seen one on here who is starving, have you? Why do we all moan so? Why do we all adopt the sanctimonious “holier than thou” attitude? Buggered if I know…….
Last week, whilst enjoying my good fortune and touring areas of Europe not so well visited by “tourists” I came upon a very modest memorial in the mountains for a concentration camp I had never heard of. I suddenly realised how pathetic my moaning was in face of the unbelievable suffering meted out on innocent people. I never appreciated quite how many of these camps existed, nor how many people suffered in them. Makes you think though, doesn’t it…….?

Absolutely outstanding holiday, believe me..... 'bike tour on my GS... fan-bloody-tastic...... scenery, roads, people... hotels that gave "special price" for arriving by 'bike.. Weather from Snow to 32 degrees.. unbelievable!

The camp was on the border between Austria and Slovenia (as is now) and was positioned to supply labour to dig the tunnel that we passed through in a place called Podljubelj sometimes known as Loibl a sub camp of Mauthausen. A grim reminder of mans’ inhumanity.

Are you becoming a "born again Christian" - I knew I had a friend somewhere..

How about this then.?

I know nothing about anything
I am deceitful
I am pompeous
I am a big bore
I hate evertbody
I am jealous
I have no patience

But apart from all that ... quite a decent persom.

Thanks for the offer.... but as I've visited an awful lot of the Worlds "Hell-holes" in my time, I think I'll pass on this offer, if you don't mind?

Please don't think that I have any inclination towards the likes of Bob Geldoff-esque solutions... I don't believe that we can "cure the World's ills" in this or any similar manner.... the only solution I can think of is for the human race to die out and that's a bit extreme....

Yes we can. The reason the world is in such a state is that man is denying the existance of Jesus Christ. you can scoff at me, ridicule me , abuse me- but until mankind comes To Jesus- the world is going to continue down an ever spiral descent into oblivion. I am not talking about Bob Geldorf, I am not talking about giving millions to the tseumi victims - its all good but doesnt solve the basic problem. Did you ever think along those lines??

No, Rogue... I very much doubt that. Despite not agreeing with some of your "ideas" and the like, you are probably the most affable bloke I've ever met.....despite being in the marine trade...
