Sunseeker build thread

I've put it in the bilges cause it ain't a rib, I've got a 30+ year old sunseeker portofino 34 XPS, and have started collecting bits for it, it's in a right stated at the moment but has all the ingredients to make a nice boat, it's got twin 315 yanmars and bravo 3 drives.
I've ripped out most of the wiring, engines, drives etc and I'm going to go through it in true biffer style, I'll post up some pics as we get going and just to get it going this is the steering wheel that my girlfriend got me for my birthday, the colour is in keeping with the classic white upholstery with a blue and red stripe straight though the centre and the dash is blueClick image for larger version

I've moved you out of The Bilges into Other Stuff. It would be a shame to lose this thread after a month (everything in the Bilges sinks after a month or so)

Good decision

I have a soft spot for the XPS34 and know that I will enjoy Biffs journey of endeavour

Oooh spoke to a chap in Swanage bay with one of them last week, think he'd owned it from new! Rather impressive bit of kit.

Thinking about my engines and bay, the bay is going to be light grey but I'm torn between painting the engine so they are in keeping with the colour code of the boat, the boat is white with white upholstery, being a sunseeker and an old one it has a bright red and a dark blue stripe right though the middle of the cushions and one flash of each colour along the whole side that slashes up and over the arch, my thought was doing the engine either blue or red, what do you guys reckon

Should without the arch, going to take it off to repair all the old holes, put in all the LEDs and wire it before refitting
