Sigh. Thats what I miss about where I used to live in the UK. Local pub, freshly cooked good pub food, decent beer. Used to eat their a couple of times a week. All things change though, we popped in on a visit back home last year & the place was had transformed into Chav Hell complete with 60" flatscreen above the fireplace.

Here in the Canadian province with the highest obesesity rate, I witnessed a fast food first the other weeks. The 'works' Chips, Dressing (e.g. turkey stuffing. Don't ask....), Gravy, Sliced frankfurters and ground beef.Yeech.

Regular viewers will be pleased to know that Tim has just benefitted from a Beef Wellington with Roasted Winter Vegetables, New Potatoes, and Asparagus. His quote from the evening "I haven't had that much meat in a long time". He is now well fed, and not contemplating kebabs.

I think the idea is you read the instructions in the book and follow them rather than try to cook the book, for that you would need an accountant

Jimbo seems to have mastered the art, but then the incentive is quite strong, learn or starve

how many times ! I didn't eat those bloody welshcakes! and yes it was the bacardi, and I may have been a bit over-enthusiastic with my claims of being able to hold that amount of drink, but you were impressed with my straight face! -

plus I am upset you didnt buy anymore welshcakes as I have just looked through all your cupboards while your at work to try and find some. will try and buy some now from morrisons !
