Hey, Swifty, I've just noticed that 4x4 signature of your's - very witty!
And yes, that jet is utterly awesome. Anyone got any idea what it costs or is it a one-off perhaps?

I saw a whole load of these at a show in Northumberland a few years ago (just happened to be in the area, saw a sign and went along, so can't remember exactly where or "who" organised it...) it was a pretty organised affair and there were people selling bits (engines (inc. jets) etc) as well as whole planes. I wasn't really looking to buy so not certain of prices but I think the jets started around £500!
If the wife can remember any more I will post again!
Neil

Thanks, Neil. Must admit I expected them to be way more expensive than that.

The fuselage kits start at £500, but the engines are about £2,300 + about £1,000 for the starting system.
A friend has a rc turbine helicopter that cost him £7,500, must admit I was bloody nervous when he allowed me to fly it, but it sounded f*****g wonderful.

ahhh - a bit like RIB prices... ...you think thats not bad - then you realise it doesn't include the engine, trailer etc...

Yep & the learning curve is more expensive, you stand a pretty good chance of getting away with it the first time you come alongside in a RIB, but it WILL cost you a set of blades & tail boom the first time you try to land an RC helicopter.
