A day in the countryside . . .

It has come to my attention that one of our members, Andy Stevens, happens to run a paintball site www.paintballistic.co.uk It's based near Portsmouth, so it's easily in range for anyone who goes boating on the south coast!

So who's up for a spot of mindless violence (in a controlled and friendly way of course )? If we get enough interest, we could even make it a RIBnet v BoatMad challenge!

I've got a booking pencilled in for Saturday 21 February, which doesn't clash with the Brass Monkey race (or valentines day!). The price will be just £35 per person for the full day including 500 paintballs each. Perhaps we could organise a ferry trip to the Isle of Wight on the Sunday as well

So who's interested?

John

Jon Fuller says he's up for it, so it looks like me and him head to head with Stuart changing sides as it suits him

How about the Jackeens and Mr & Mrs B? You seem to be up for most things! And what about Aging "I used to be in the army" Youth to show us how it should be done?

If I'm not in Morocco (long story) and I can get a weekend pass having already been skiing for a week on my own I might be able to make it!

Does this rule us out from up here? If not, book me in (pencil). Mrs is away that weekend with the kids

Any details of B&B's etc?

Of course not -- it just means one less excuse for all the southerners

You're spoilt for choice as the site is halfway between Portsmouth and Petersfield, with easy access along the coast as well. The Hamsphire Tourist web site is a good place to start, other people may be able to come up with more specific suggestions.

I want to be on GArfs side It is an issue though cos most of the regular boat mad crew are ribbers. What do we do stay with our new friends or stick with our spiritual home. Perhaps all the names should go in a hat. That could be fun

If you can't get into the Palace de Jackeen then you are welcome to crash at ours for the event. It warm, dry and a fairly convivial place providing David Manning isn't here

Phil Davies is especially welcome cos if the Northern Nbbrs don't like him then he can't be all that bad

cheers
Stuart

Very kind.........

of you Wave. "MedStyle" hey........oooohhhh dodgey, especially in Southern waters - twice as slippery I believe !

Wave' if you move your RIBs about a bit positioning them in your trailer park in such a way that there's an open space between two, that particular gap will make "Ribless Ian" feel right at home !
