Sheet ice on the roads in Brighton tonight. Had to put the snow chains on just to get up a hill on the way home!

They are brilliant vans - we have a twin turbo facelift one in and I just took it down to put some diesel in it - What a rocket ship! We convert them to day van spec with an extra row of seats and trim them out nicely - https://www.facebook.com/BLSCars

Yep, today exceed our last decent snowfall in '79 (I vaguely remember it but I was only 5!)
0730 We were digging out a Unimog it was that bad. I saw cars abandoned in the roads in the NW which were buried up to the roof!
The L322 Rangie performed admirably, only needed the shovel a couple of times

Does for me on iPad. These lanes are where my work is based on an old farm. I haven't been blamed for not making it in for 2 days! Tried again this afternoon but no chance, might well be another day off tomorrow!

Today's snow was worse than that of 1979. I remember it then quite clearly although I was only 13. By the time I had walked about two miles through today's drifts I was absolutely knackered. I say 'walk'; it was more a case of crawling on all fours or rolling around. There were cars abandoned everywhere; even 4x4s.
