It was a blizzard here at 9.00am. Meant to be officially Spring on March 20... might need to rethink that one!

We've even got a light covering in Salcombe! Been trying for the last hour but nothing on the roads yet.

In Jersey they're saying this could be the worst snow day since 1979

Not a huge amount yet but expecting a lot more later this morning, combined with F9 winds. Already the airport has been closed for the day and all ferries are cancelled.

I've taken the day off so I can have a play in the range rover

Just starting to get a little flutter in central London now. My flight home tonight has been cancelled, and postponed 'til tomorrow (missing all the fun back home). What's the chances of Jersey reopening and then Gatwick shutting?

Yep, been snowing here all morning, not heavily, and has not settled on the roads.

There have been a few snowflakes here in Reading, and my mile-and-a-half walk there and back was most unpleasant...

It'd better not stay like it too long — I expect to be back out on the water in three weeks' time, albeit in Devon.
