Whilst passing through a Duty Free recently I saw a couple of special editions;
Jura Diurachs Own,
Auchentoshan Heartwood & Springwood.
Anybody tried them & any thoughts, I'll be passing through the same airport in Feb so might treat meself if they're any good.

What can I say. The Jura is of course very Jura with the dark side if the island coming through
The Auchentoshan is quite different but Bigmuz I'm sure will be along to sing its praises. Both worth a try and if you don't like them bring them up in May and I'll take them of your hands.

Most Auchentoshans are shite .. the one you want is the
Three Wood
.. packed with flavour & bourbon .. but easy now .. the fall out from over indulgence is a bit severe
And each to their own ... but all Jura are off for me except one ... and its so good ... I'd include it in my secret stash anytime and goes by the name of 'Prophecy'
When you pour it .. you are supposed to hold the symbol on the bottle in the palm of your hand whereafter the legend is, it bestows untold wealth on the host ... I'm still fooking waiting right enough

All of that is correct - I've tested it carefully, and not so carefully. It's a wee bit like one's wedding - basically, on the night - you'll have "Three Wood" and it'll be a great experience...
...but you'll wake up in the morning and regret it!

I've been sampling a bottle of Isle of Arran Sauternes Finish as recommended by Bigwuzz - have to say I'm very impressed, not too many bawbies for lots of flavour!
