Ah no - keep pourin' !
I had a wee tour around Strathisla once. The rest of the group were all yanks and the wee aged Scot in charge could see I was the only true drinker in the group so he slipped me some o' the good stuff. The 18yo was deadly!

Sitting here in Normandy, looking out over the sea, half way down a bottle of 18yr Highland Park, just to keep the evening chill off.

Calvados Good for cooking & degreasing engines, makes decent barbecue lighting fluid also My French friends have acquired a taste for single malts

Well, what's the verdict? I haven't sampled it ....
I'm suspicious of a whisk(e)y not of Scots / Irish origin.
Same reason I haven't tried the St Georges Norfolk whisky.

As well you should be
.........
....... later thoughts
Well I'm a free thinking man .. and .. it tastes as crap as many others that Scotland has sent for blending....
there are some raisins and some bourbon , which was some of its noteable years in the final casks apart from madeira.. so that gives it some purpose.
Yeah its quite pleasant .. it doesent have the blow your trousers off effect of some malts.. but .. not every one wants that
I'd say it was a good effort actually from wales ... Its definately a malt as for quality so should be appreciated for that.
If Wales wanted to learn how to do it though .. they should look to Japan as to how to copy .. I hate to say that .. but the Japs are making some whisky today that we are only bringing out of bond from 20 years ago scary

I'm half way down a bottle of the same meself. I find it easy drinking & inoffensive, not much in the way of "Character" but speaking as a peat head, I'm biased .

The Singleton is nice but this Glen Ord variant is REALLY nice. Can only be bought from the distillery or Asia.
