Cheers Martini, handy for keeping on board.

In terms of the software, i didnt get on with the cineform one at all. I used it for all of 2 seconds before going to windows 7 live movie maker. This i find really easy and you can slow down clips with ease, clip and basically do whatever you want. Mind you cant remember what i used to update the firmware with, i think this may have been in the cineform program?

Took a few bits of video today so am going to attempt somewhat of a video in the coming days.

The Gopro firmware is updated from the support section of the website. Download the appropriate file, unzip it, copy to an sd card then stick it the Gopro. There's a certain combination of button pressing to do then but its all on a video tutorial on the download page of the website

In a rather annoying Jeremy Clarkson voice

Some say he naturally faces magnetic north, and that all of his legs are hydraulic... all we know is, he's called Nathan K……..

I've got a few more bits and bobs on their way from Dogcam, mounts etc. and a few ideas for some diy mods as well. I've got an obsession with time lapse movies at the mo, there's some awesome ones out there on the tube.

When this fog lifts I might be able to get something down and post it up here

Also, GoPro don't seem to do a mount that enables you to swivel the camera.
I sometimes want to film whats ahead of me, and then to turn the camera sideways to capture the coastline etc.

What sort of mount are you using? Tube clamp/suction cup/tripod mount etc?

First Attempt

Ok Chaps, Here we have it, my very first attempt at video editing is complete. Ok so its a bit rusty but i managed it in half hour and then about six and and half years uploading to you tube Over a bloody hour just for 3 mins of video.

Now you'll have to forgive me for no slow motion shots but as you can see it was like a mill pond yesterday and there wasnt much in the way of action. I did try and slow down the slight ripple i went over but it didnt really at much intensity to the clip.

I also wanted to get a shot from further back but when i was about to mount it on the vhf pole i found out that the really tight nuts in the mounts are not always that tight as i watched one of them sink to the ocean floor

Go easy on me......

Good effort What software have you used for the editing?

Thanks, it was all done with windows live movie maker (2011 version). Had to get a new computer with an all singing all dancing quad processor to run the high def files though, my laptop simply didnt cope. You will find that the video looks crap when editing as the movie maker reduces definition to make it easier, but click save and its there in full 1080.
