I haven't seen any waterproof walkie talkies - why not stick with VHF and get a couple of m33s??

Hadn't seen them, nice toy but at £200 odd each I'd stick with the M33s

Maplin sell waterproof walkie talkies.

We got a set from there for around £80.

DORO WT91x pro, rated IPx7. PMR.

They seem to work pretty well. No complaints so far.

A bit cheaper....these are still PMR ...The Mitex are Business Licence's and are a lot more powerful.

Wow....cheers guys, great response as always!

That last linky (above) looks good for what we need.....TBH we could prob shout /hand signal /smoke signal to each other....one boat either side of the river, but this might look more professional

Technically, yes.... but don't really want to have to worry about filling the boaty air with any chit chat.....there are other users / boats nearby too. Also be handy for reeling off my double shot, italian mocha choca coffee order when the crew heads into town at lunch time

Dont mention the O word! Thread drift will occur, you mark my words.

May as well move this to the bilges now and be done with it.
