Agree! and it's not even a balanced diet, it would take two of those, one in each hand.

When we first moved to Ayrshire I was stood at the counter of a bakers with my pal & asked him what he wanted & he replies " get me a pie roll" I dutifully ordered said delicacy which turned out to be a scotch pie in a bread bun Weird! Then stood in a fish & chipshop waiting for my order & a guy behind me asks for a slice of pizza which the guy behind the counter promptly batters & deep fries[emoji1785] then in a cafe in Aberdeenshire I order a takeaway dinner, steak gravy potatoes & vegetables looked lovely lady says do you want skirly with that, never heard of it but why not, she scoops a huge spoonfull onto the takeaway tray & I'm off back to the yard to eat my new delicacy only to discover its got the texture & consistency of warm damp sawdust with a similar taste, never again!
Recently had a weekend in our hometown of Durham with some Scottish friends who found peas pudding rather weird & couldnt understand my joy at being reunited with a ham & peas pudding sandwich.
Definitely some huge regional diversity when it comes to everyday foods[emoji1787][emoji1787].

The ones you got from butchers were totally different to the fish & chip shop ones but yeh the colour wasnt the best & it probably contained all manner of stuff you probably wouldnt eat if you knew what it was
