Well I did say it was a cheap strat, but I think that the provenance will add value in a few years.

I'm listening to Andes Osborne right now......Limestone Bay

Well put me down for pick up the pieces, love it.

Generally like the funk sound but perhaps apart from Ian Dury (saw him in 75 ) don't seem to have bought much of it

Nice thing is with sons from 22 to 17 I get to hear their music and they hear mine, the two older ones had a band with a set list including songs form The Jam and the Clash!

Have a listen hear and let me know what you think, local girl to me, wites all her own stuff and plays piano to it.

Are you sure? Punk was in it's very embrionic stages in New York in '75.

Unless, you saw him pre-punk, as he was living in Cornwall in the early 70's.

I said FUNK!

Never knew he lived down here Saw him at (thinking about it) The Fiesta Rooms which were at Mayflower Street in Plymouth I was I think a 5th year at the time so could have been 76, unless i was at 6th Form which would have been 77.
Went and saw the Blockheads at Fowey 2yrs ago with the boys, superb!

What Music are you listening to right Now

I have been listening to this brilliant singer/song for the last three weeks. She does sound like Karen Carpenter. Thanks so much for putting in the link. Absolutely brilliant. She has an album out in November. Just buy it. Regards.

No relation I take it

Ive managed to find some other stuff by her but she needs to keep this vein IMO, because its exactly this pitch (vocally etc) that will propel her to great things IMO

No relation, just like the song and how she sings it. Does remind me of Karen Carpenter. Heard an interview with Rumer on the radio last week and she came across very well. Thanks for the link anyway. Regards.

Nothing wrong with a Cheryl Cole CD. Obviously, bin the bl**dy awful CD and spend much time studying the artwork, possibly whilst enjoying a bag of Wotsits.

What was her mother thinking of when she named her Cheryl?

I used to think that the Ging-er Spice bird was halfways tidy. She looks a right muntero next to Geordie Beryl.

'see where you're coming from..... even if she is Simon Cowell's little Gimp.

If you want something far more depressing but certainly very songworthy check out Justin Currie's new album, ex Del Amitri frontman and my god can this bloke write a song!!

I remember the guy, Del Amitri knocked out a few decent tunes also.

Kernow was telling me that he was a big fan of Justin Currie the other day. I was impressed, until i realised that he actually meant John Curry ice skater.
